Home Visits

Doctor's bagIf possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

On most occasions the Doctor will ring you back to ascertain the urgency of the visit. A Doctor is available most days to visit housebound or seriously ill patients in their homes if they cannot come to the Centre.A home visit would not be deemed appropriate in cases of common problems with children (fevers, colds, earache etc), of adults (influenza, cough, sore throat, back pain etc). In these cases patients are usually well enough to travel by car, bus or taxi and would receive a more comprehensive assessment and treatment at the surgery.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit.
